All GO for Sat.30th Aug - Make A Difference Day

Hi Folks

Ivan Andersen and I had a thumbs-up meeting yesterday afternoon with Nancy Nxumalo (Pres. Soweto Chamber of Commerce and Industries) and Pastor Saulo de Oliveira (Universal Church) to confirm that all is a GO for our participation in Make A Difference Day at Ubuntu Kraal on Sat.30Aug. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Our key activities will be the promotion of:

1. Community 100 Empowered

2. Soweto Jobs (Staffweb)

3. Soweto Business Chamber Website

Nancy and Pastor Saulo have been travelling country-wide to kick-start a multitude of Make A Difference Day events on Sat.30Aug.

For our contribution to this first Make A Difference Day launch we are told to expect at least 1000 people through Ubuntu Kraal.

My primary focus today... and next week leading up to Saturday's event will be to ensure that WE make magic happen for those who attend the day and that logistics for Saturday (presentation venues, equipment, location, tables, etc) are arranged and understood.

I will be available at my Home Office - 011 - 705-2790 or Ivan can be contacted 083 - 627-8191

Time is short... our spirit is willing... and our commitment will be 100% with whatever resource we can muster.

Each of YOU on this list may well be contacted separately ASAP ... or you are welcome to contact us ASAP... to tie down details of your involvement and to provide resource or items of interest.

To give you an idea of the sort of things we are providing on the day... Ivan and I will be providing a gift of 130 Money Skills games (retail price R440ea) - at a value of over R50 000 - as our personal contribution to Making A Difference in the lives of those who receive them. Ideally they will begifted to those who sign up for Community 100 Empowered on the day or for those who sign up to be profiled to secure a job through Soweto Jobs.

Whatever YOU can contribute in time, effort and/or resource will be highly appreciated.

Here's the type of copy we are putting out for corporates to get involved in Soweto Jobs:
