Testimonials: Fri18Sep & Sat19Sep MDI Workshop

Paresh Somlal writes: Subject - JUST AMAZING

Hi Trevor and Ivan

One of the most amazing 2 days that I've ever experienced in my life. I attended many workshops and seminars in my life. I even attended a 5 day seminar of one of the most well known motivational speakers in the world, but the past 2 days have been one of THE BEST. I have learnt more in these two days than ever before and to top it all I have met 35-37 of the most amazing people that I would call them friends.

What I learnt from this workshop is the following:
1) Nothing is impossible.

2) There is beauty in this world, stop and smell the roses
3) Everyone is unique
4) Begin with the end in mind
5) Simplify, simplify, simplify
6) "Milliondollar" ideas/business plan can materialize on sand ground and don't need to be a fancy, perfectly printed out document. It doesn't need alot of time to come up with the "Milliondollar" idea.
7) You don't need to do it alone.
8) Everything is in three's - i) End, ii) Middle, iii) Beginning
9) Ask the right questions, and don't be shy to ask for help
10) When you first start with something it doesn't need to be perfect, perfect it as you go along.
11) Don't ever run after money, let money come after you.
12) The most important person in any business is ME than comes the BUSINESS and lastly THE CUSTOMER

I would advise anyone who thinks they have a milliondollar idea then don't wait - just get out there and do it, BEGIN WITH A END IN MIND.

I would like to thank everyone for being part of my growth and wish everyone the best of luck in your MDI and don't forget if you need my help, please don't be shy.

Last but not the least, the guys that put it all together, Trevor and Ivan, I am in total awe at what you guys shared with me and everyone. I, THANK YOU BOTH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

SUPERB

Dear Trevor,

Testimonial -
Trevor and Ivan’s Milliondollarise your Business' Workshop was beyond Gold, beyond Platinum, rather reaching into value of infinite dimensions. Here were two people who have achieved multi billion businesses prepared to share their wisdom to give a leg up to others wanting to achieve million rand status. We were given insight into a parallel universe of Disruptive Innovation where conventional wisdom is stood on its head with awesome results, as well as a step by step approach to achieve our goals. Now the challenge is absorb the information and own it.

3 Things I learnt

1. I am number 1, not the Customer

2. Believe it and then see it. The single dandelion.

3. Stop chasing the money, rather let it chase you. (I’ve been doing that for the
last 10 years with disastrous results).

With many thanks once again,

With kind regards,
Mike Gardner

Dear Trevor & Ivan

You helped me to "wake up" from my dream world and turn it into reality! I am so grateful for having the opportunity to attend the workshop, I realized that there is more to my business than I think "IT IS ACTUALY HUGE"! You opened my mind to something so enormous that I never even thought could be possible!! On my way home Saturday I started thinking about the people I've met from Soweto, the contribution they've made. I am so "out of the box" my husband can't keep up with my ideas:) (May I add) He normally don't get pulled into something unless it is either GREAT OR ENORMOUS!!!! Well I've managed to "MILLIONDOLLARIZE" his mind in +- an hour to such an extent that he might be the one who is going to do most of the work and I'll be watching:) His words "check this space"! Thank you for opening "my box" and a special thanks to everybody that made a contribution. I wish all of you success and enjoy the ride while you achieve your goals.

Hi Trevor and Ivan,

In attachment you will find my testimonial. If you will see any russian interfirience with an English language, please feel free to correct it.

When I was planning to attend MDI I felt good about it and was looking forward to learn more about business.

But what I’ve got out of the course was mind blowing.

My expectations were so tiny compare to what I’ve got.

Little box I was sitting in was broken completely. Instead I was given tools and ideas how to build a new solid house with a strong foundation.

Brilliant! Simple, strong and straight to the point!

I wish I would attend this course a year ago. I always use to enjoy Networking, but only after MDI I understood real value of it and how much more I can do with it.

Thanks for opening my eyes and showing the power of team working!

I am going to recommend this course to all the people who want to do something with there’s life! It is life changing weekend!

Thanks again, I feel honored to be a part of INNER Circle.

Dear Trevor,

We’d would just like to say thank you for a fantastic two days of opening the mind to the possibilities. Its remarkable how in one way or another you are aware of what you should do but it takes a great facilitation to bring it to life and into reality.

It's interesting that the way we have built our business aligns perfectly with what the workshop was about. What we took away has confirmed that we are on the right track and can take our business to the next level by being facilitators for other
businesses.

1. Definitely BUSINESS UNUSUAL
2. Definitely CONSTRUCTIVE DECONSTRUCTION
3. Definitely 21 POINTS (Blackjack)

Hi Trevor

I attended this MDI workshop with ideas of what it would be, and was surprised. I had expectations, they were well exceeded. I came in with beliefs, they were altered. I have only just started putting some of the principals that were discussed in place, yet I feel richer already.

Well done to you and Ivan.

Thank you for an awesome day, it truly was a privilege... and I look forward to the next workshop.

A Call For Help!

This in from Ivan Andersen:

Hi Rory and Trevor

As you both know there has been a person, (architects's name withheld), who has put significant time and effort into helping Unity College with their new school. He has spent countless hours designing, consulting and assisting in what ever way he could. ALL at NO cost to the school. Conservative estimates put his input at over R1,000,000.00 worth of savings to the school.

His business has been severely impacted but the credit crunch and slow-down in the economy, to the extent where he has been forced to put his own house on the market, and as you know this is not a good time to be selling.

His residential design, assessment and modifications business has basically dried up.

It breaks me up to see a man with such a big, good heart, finding himself in a position like this.

Please put the word out and lets see if any of our connections can help. His good deeds surely cannot go unrewarded like this!

From Soweto To Fort Klapperkop PRETORIA

Ivan and I are doing some very interesting travelling around unique sites in South Africa. On Friday, we attended a business training session with JV partner Hugo Snyman's Third Circle at Fort Klapperkop - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pretoria_Forts#Fort_Klapperkop - Pretoria facilitated by van Der Spuy Brink.

Boy, we have some interesting sites for visitors in our country... what with Ubuntu Kraal, the Top of Africa - Marung Restaurant at the top of the Carlton... and now Fort Klapperkop (amongst other forts in the area). Well worth a visit.

Become A SOWETO Ambassador

We're busy brainstorming a concept to allow committed individuals in every major city, town, municipality around the world to be recognised as Offical International Ambassadors and/or members of the designated Ambassador's team.

INNOVATIVE: First idea is to have each Offical International Ambassador commit to finding innovative ways to raise a minimum contribution of 1000 currency units (preferably in major currencies i.e. Dollar, Pound, Euro, Yen et al) per month to fund social entrepreneurial project development through our Soweto Chamber of Commerce & Industries JV projects website.

RARITY: Second idea is to keep the status of a major city Official International Ambassador - say New York, London, Paris, Mumbai, Tokyo, Sydney, et al - imbued with all the characteristics of a rare honour... in recognition of the Ambassador's serious comitment - by only appointing ONE Official International Ambassador per city.

EXPANSION: Clearly the idea can expand through the Ambassador to his/her appointment of an Ambassador's Team of 10 or more to break up the task of collecting the minimum commitment of 1000 currency units per month per city into 10 simple units of 100 currency units per month per each Team member.

VIRAL: Official International Ambassadors and their Ambassador's Team members can promote their status and mission for this Soweto social entrepreneurial upliftment project on their own websites - has co-promotion, cross-branding, social-networking potential amongst others. They will also have a presence on the SOWETO Chamber of Commerce & Industries website designating their official status.

If YOU would like to become the Official International Ambassador or Ambassador's Team member for this SOWETO Chamber of Commerce & Industries JV project for YOUR CITY and make a firm commitment to making something magnificent happen for Soweto entrepreneurs through this project, or if you just have some great ideas for us regarding this project, let us know on this link and we'll get back to you ASAP: YES Please, I Want To Become An Ambassador in (insert your city)

Big Plans For SOWETO

Nancy Nxumalo, President of the Soweto Chamber of Commerce & Industries - one of our premier Soweto project JV partners is quoted in two extracts from the article There are big plans for Soweto - by Emily Visser - Tuesday, 16 September 2008 - source: City of Johannesburg website (http://www.joburg.org.za/)

Soweto Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) president, Nancy Nxumalo, says the plan is long overdue. "We are looking forward to this. There are a lot of small, medium and micro enterprises not in a state of achieving their best."

"What is lacking is infrastructure and capacity. We need to build entrepreneurs," Nxumalo agrees.

That's where we're focusing our time - working with prototype development project teams (see image below of fantastic youngsters from NGO Teboho Trust in Orlando West in training at UBUNTU Kraal) - stimulating entrepreneurial devlopment and business ownership at grassroots community level by establishing Community 100 Empowered mini-retail stores in the hands of local community households.

Author Nick Williams - International Ambassador for SOWETO

Found a book on Sidwell Nxumalo's desk at UBUNTU Kraal titled: 'How To Be Inspired' by Nick Williams.

In it was a 2-page article (see below) about our budding JV partner Sidwell Nxumalo and the UBUNTU Kraal in Soweto.

Immediately sent a note off to Nick in the UK, introducing myself and making this suggestion: 'Thought: How would you like to be an international/U.K. 'ambassador' for our Soweto promotion ideas leading up to 2010... we aim to come up with some innovative ideas to stimulate small business revenue-generation in Soweto... interested..?'

Responded Nick (shortened extract): 'Hi Trevor, Thanks for contacting me - yes, it seems like synchronicity. I loved my brief visit to Soweto and meeting Sidwell... keep me in touch - here is the story from the book and a photo of me with Sidwell as the Ubuntu Kraal.'

Look for inspiration in unexpected places

by Nick Williams

“People are like stained glass windows: they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within.” Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

Inspired people know that inspiration is often found in places where we would least expect to find it. A couple of days after arriving in Johannesburg, my colleague, Richard has explained to me that on Monday we were going to visit Sidwell Nxumalo, Sid, a friend of his who lived in Soweto, and Richard said I’d find Sid inspiring.

My only images of Soweto were of violence, burnings and shootings, so I remained to be convinced, but trusted Richard, as he’d been there before. Officially just over a million people live in Soweto, but unofficial estimates put it at more like four million and growing daily. It’s busy and crowded, but better than I thought it would be, although I was still concerned for my own safety. As we approached Senokonyeana Street in Orlando West, Soweto, there was spirit – we passed the world’s largest murals painted on the side of Orlando Power stations. But I heard of the words I least wanted to hear from Richard’s mouth, which were “Nick, I think we’re lost”. A quick call to Sid’s mobile and we were on track again, and as we approached and entered the Ubuntu Kraal that Sid created, and it was as if we had entered an oasis. Even in the darkest days of apartheid, Sid had wanted to create something beautiful for the community.

So here’s the secret: Inspired people know when they have the eyes to see it, they can find inspiration anywhere

Sid explained to me, “The word ubuntu is a Zulu word and translates roughly as humanity towards others. But it means much more than this. The spiritual foundation of African societies, ubuntu involves a belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all of humanity, a unifying worldview best captured by the Zulu maxim umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu - 'a person is a person through other persons'.” I wondered if apartheid had been motivated by the very opposite, to dehumanise and disconnect.

Sid had managed to become the first black master builder in South Africa, and using his contacts and resources, managed to buy an ash dump from the government. Over a period of 20 years he had literally transformed this ash dump into the sanctuary in which I was now standing. It was a green, lush and beautiful oasis. There was a conference centre, community centre, a place for weddings, a swimming pool, kitchens, beautiful flowers, birds. I was astonished. He loved his community so much he wanted to create something beautiful for it. I then discovered that Sid has helped dozens of other people in Soweto start their own small businesses. Later as he drove us around it became obvious that he was a known and loved leader of his community, but had chosen not to go into politics as he believed he could achieve more without those incumbencies. He showed us the only street in the world where two Nobel peace prize winners had lived – Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela, and drove us past their houses.

We drove back to the centre and thanked Sid for his time and care, and we all hugged each other, another thought struck me. Richard had been in the army, so during apartheid Richard was responsible for implementing it. Fifteen years ago these two men in front of me hugging each other as brothers were enemies across a divide of colour and today they were friends in building a new country together. I was touched moved and inspired, in Soweto! I learned that over 20% of the people that visit South Africa now visit Soweto, around 250,000 people a year and it sets trends in politics, fashion, music, dance and language.

So here’s the secret: where people are, inspiration can be too. Beyond our fears and judgements, inspiration is often happening right now.

Wow... inspirational..!

And... right on our doorstep.

Our role must be to become proud ambassadors for stories like this emanating from Soweto and many, many grassroots communities across South Africa. Let's DO it!

Regards
Trevor

We Find Humility & UBUNTU At Soweto's Greenest Oasis

Seldom have Ivan and I had the pleasure of meeting with someone who embodies anywhere near the humility and spirit of UBUNTU that is personified by our very own Madiba - ex-Pres. Nelson Mandela - but this man is that rare exception:

His name: Sidwell Nxumalo - owner: Ubuntu Kraal, Orlando West, Soweto

We're proud to be developing a joint venture business relationship with someone so clearly the salt-of-the-earth in this historic community of Orlando West, Soweto.

We're busy compiling, collecting, collating historic articles and data on this unique man and facility. Here's a sample of what we've found:

Online Article: Escape the city, retreat to Ubuntu Kraal - February 20, 2004

Online Article credit - sourced from: City of Johannesburg website - http://www.joburg.org.za/

FOR anyone needing a timeout from a hectic Jozi lifestyle, the Ubuntu Kraal, situated in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Soweto, is the ideal kickback place - a little piece of African tranquillity just kilometres from the centre of Johannesburg.

Here, on 2.8 hectares of prime real estate in Orlando West, people can rent one of the 10 self-catering bushveld-style lapas - available for the day - or hold conferences or functions.

Ubuntu Kraal owner Sidwell Nxumalo (middle) with guests

Driving into the development from Orlando, the eye is immediately drawn to the centrepiece of the venue: the conference facility. Painted in pink, with black and white drawings of Zulu shields and assegais and cast-iron three-legged pots on the walls, the conference building can hold up to 500 people. It can cater for a wide range of activities, from graduation ceremonies and jazz concerts, to weddings and marketing events.

Inside the conference centre, soothing traditional music plays in the background, adding to the tranquillity of the venue. Specially trained staff ensures that the needs of the particular client are met, adjusting the layout of the tables and chairs, ensuring the appropriate equipment is available.

Owner and managing director of Ubuntu Kraal, Sidwell Nxumalo, says he saw a gap in the market and decided to pursue his dream of creating a venue "that is unique, practices ubuntu and is competitive in nature". His vision is "to enhance the tourism industry in Soweto by providing service of the highest level and through the constant pursuit of excellence".

Visitors using the thatched lapas for the day can choose to use a fully equipped self-catering unit or book the in-house catering service. The area also boasts a green lawn for easy walks, picnic areas, soothing waterfalls, and a swimming pool.

Ubuntu Kraal in-house catering service, supplies visitors with traditional food, including samp, ting (sour porridge), mogodu (tripe), mopane worms and morogo. Other items include a finger lunch of meat dishes, vegetables and salads or a braai menu of chicken peri-peri, rump steak, traditional wors served with pap, rolls, roasted potato and tomato gravy. The costs of the set menus vary, depending on what visitors choose.

A traditional African ethos - ubuntu - permeates the venue. The triangular arch at the entrance is painted with the geometric patterns typical of Ndebele art.

Nxumalo never loses sight of the strength of the family and has a plaque for his father, Bava Hongonyi, at the entrance. One of the halls used for functions is called "Nwamazwinyi" after his mother. Just outside the hall is a small garden chapel for intimate weddings. This is the "Gogo Mandabas Chapel", named after his grandmother. "She was my inspiration, my mentor," Nxumalo says.

Alongside the conference centre is a train carriage on a 4m-railway track. It is an old-style maroon and gold South African Railway carriage, with wooden benches and bunks that could be made into beds for an overnight trip. Nxumalo plans to refurbish the carriage, at a cost of R60 000, and turn it into a restaurant and a hideaway for newly weds.

The initial infrastructure dates back to the late 1980s, when it was an office park and site for Nxumalo's construction and paving company. He has invested his money in "several strategically positioned pieces of real estate in Soweto". Funds from these investments were ploughed into establishing Ubuntu Kraal. Work began in 1995 on turning the property into the entertainment and leisure centre.

Ubuntu Kraal is a popular venue for weddings

Besides the conference venues and lapas, Ubuntu Kraal now boasts several communal braai and kitchen areas, a dining room, and a small farm with ducks, cows and horses.

"Although the primary target for this venture was the emerging market, the company quickly earned itself an excellent reputation with its clientele and also expanded into more affluent areas," says Nxumalo. Now it caters for a vast range of people.

Guests have included the former US ambassador to the United Nations and former mayor of Atlanta, Andrew Young, and delegations from the chambers of commerce of Johannesburg, Malaysia and Thailand. Multinational corporations such as Coca Cola, Tastic Rice and Kellogg's have also made use of the conference facilities.

Ubuntu Kraal is an ongoing development, with Nxumalo's fertile imagination constantly planning changes and other developments. "I want to continue reinvesting in the community by expanding and promoting this venue."

A further 1.3-hectares of land is still available to continue building Nxumalo's dreams. He is planning a new R1.2-million development: "The main thrust of expansion will be the construction of 10 additional chalets to accommodate tourists. These chalets will be upmarket guest quarters with carpeting, furniture, self-contained restrooms and bathrooms."

A second phase of the expansion will be the upgrading of the dining lounge to a fully equipped restaurant, "serving traditional South African meals", he adds.

"People desire to visit Soweto for its unique culture, it is a symbol of resistance to oppression and it has a very rich heritage," says Nxumalo. His opinion is backed by statistics from the South African Tourism Board, which shows that an average 1 400 people visit Soweto each day, many from other African states and elsewhere.

Visitors want to see the Hector Pieterson memorial, Nelson Mandela's old house and other heritage sites. Because of the large number of visitors, "a dire need has arisen to establish trading, cultural, entertainment and overnight centres in Soweto", says Nxumalo.

Ubuntu Kraal is one kilometre from the Hector Pieterson memorial and within walking distance of Mandela's old house, as well as the home of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Says Nxumalo: "Ubuntu Kraal will complement rather than compete with existing businesses."

Ubuntu Kraal is situated at 11846 Senokoanyana Street in Orlando West, Soweto and its office is open from 6am to 6pm. Evening functions can also be arranged.

For information on hiring the venue contact Sidwell Nxumalo on 083 271 5096

EXPECT The Unexpected... Accept The Unacceptable

Was in a discussion, re: Community 100 Empowered, with a team from Nedbank at Ubuntu Kraal, Orlando West, Soweto - see: http://www.tsfos.co.za/gallery-1.5.8/NedbankUbuntu0908 .

I happened to say that Ivan Andersen and I have taken the view on all of our JV's, no matter where they are based or who they are structured with, to '..expect the unexpected.. and.. accept the unacceptable..'!

The response to this statement has been amazing, almost as if we're some kind of profound gurus of some kind.

So what are we actually saying... well, I think it is that life is so hectic, and events moving at such a pace all around us, and people are so fickle and/or well-meaning, that almost anything that can go wrong to trip you up on your best-laid plans probably can and will go wrong.

And most often this happens at the very worst time or when you can least afford it... or when you really just don't want any more hassles in your life... or when you finally got your feet up to watch TV or just relax. Never at the right time!

Given that I don't have much hair left to pull out... we now just take the happening on the chin and look for a work-around that involves damage-limitation at worst or a better solution at best.

We attempt not to waste time on crying over spilt milk if it does not result in a fix that ensures that the problem occurence will not repeat itself. Sometimes... things just happen..!

A classic example of this statement coming into effect happened just yesterday at our local Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

See: JSE: Trade halted - Sep 8 2008 11:02AM Fin24.com reporter - Johannesburg - Trade on the JSE equity market was halted at 10:30 on Monday morning, with the bourse saying it was investigating reasons for the stop in trade.

See: Brokers 'robbed of R100m' - Sep 8 2008 5:23PM - Marc Ashton - Johannesburg - Brokers look set to have lost up to R100m in brokerage charges following a technical glitch which saw the JSE closed for trade for most of Monday. "The South African broking community has been robbed of R100m based on the R15bn turnover I believed the market could have traded," said Lavan Gopaul of Cortex Securities. "Investors were robbed of an opportunity to take some profit."

Both unexpected and unnacceptable! Wonder how they are dealing with it?

Lat week I had an unexpected call at 6:45 on Monday evening... my daughter was in distress on the other end having just been in a crash. Every father's nightmare. Was she okay? Anyone hurt? Can she distinguish reality through the shock? Took me 20 minutes to get to the scene... and only the tow truck operators were there arguing over who was going to tow the cars. Unacceptable!

She was okay... as was the other youngster who skipped a red light straight in front of my daughter. Both cars were a write-off. Unacceptable!

But, what do you do? Punch his lights out?

Nope... I'm living under the principle of '..expect the unexpected... accept the unacceptable..' and look for the positive workaround.

I thanked God for them both being alive. It happened. Now deal with it positively.

Sow Seeds To Grow The Size Of YOUR Business Pie

At mdiVENTURES we spend a lot of time with entrepreneurs getting them to become more aware of, and to explore, the many opportunities that lie right under their noses.

Many miss the fact that often when entrepreneurs think too small, the size of the potential business pie cannot support much more than one on a hand-to-mouth basis.

However, were they to spend the same amount of thinking-time to strategise the creation of a much bigger pie, then many more quality entrepreneurs might be willing to get involved in the project to share in a slice of the bigger pie.

By way of example, in the previous post - Making A Difference In SOWETO - we produced a graphic to show some of the business concepts coming together in Soweto.

In the past few days, we've added a few more images from JV projects recently negotiated to show the POWER of GIVING of one's skills and resources to help projects get off the ground.

Last week we tied down a JV relationship with The Third Circle - an asset management company - looking to manage R6Billion of investors capital. This came from almost 8 months of sowing seeds of encouragement and providing strategic input, for which the entrepreneur last week rewarded mdiVENTURES with a slice of the future action.

This entrepreneur explained that the scale of his business idea expanded significantly through his participation at our Milliondollarize YOUR Business sessions held at The PALAZZO. Once the pie became bigger in his mind, he was able to share more of the future action to attract the quality of input he wanted.

We also added Mirriam Zwane's BABUYILE prisoner rehabilitation project and the Make A Difference project to our voluntary advisory board process. They both open up great opportunities and people of influence for our Soweto JV project partners.

Making A Difference In SOWETO

mdiVENTURES has been cementing joint venture relationships with organisations in Soweto.

The graphic below shows the link that flows from business networking relationships made at the INNER Circle Business Forum, to joint venture strategic alliances nurtered through mdiVENTURES, to a number of interconnected business strategies with differing business partners all designed to help one of our key partners - The SOWETO Chamber of Commerce & Industries - to make a significant difference to SME business entrepreneurs in Soweto.

Note the importance of bringing together motivated, enthusiastic independent business entrepreneurs (e.g. StaffWeb, Ubuntu Kraal and Ushamwari, some at grass-roots, first-time, start-up level (e.g. Community 100 Empowered) and recognised corporate institutions (e.g. Nedbank) to leverage off each others critical skills, resources and contributions.

If YOU want to make a difference in SOWETO in any way, let us know on this link and we'll get back to you ASAP to discuss how we can apply your idea, resource or contribution:

MDI Feedback Testimonials

Monday 02nd June saw another 'MillionDollarize YOUR Business' (MDI) workshop - see http://www.mdiventures.blogspot.com/ - held at, and venue sponsored by, The PALAZZO, Montecasino Boulevard, Fourways.

Writes Paula de Pinho:

Dear Trevor

As always, you bring something new to the table and stir up emotions that as business entrepreneurs, know we have, but for some reason, just don’t change our mindset in order to shift from the one scale to the bigger picture.

For most people Change means uncertainty and upsets the routine to which they are accustomed to. It brings on feelings of negativity and self doubt.

Workshops such as yours, allows the attendees, that much needed alone time to seriously re-consider the necessary steps forward, in order to achieve the goals and dreams we all so badly want.

It also allows each member present to see for themselves that they are not alone in this struggle and that with a little push from INNER Circle mentoring, they can achieve what they thought was unachievable.

We shouldn’t take life too seriously as we are all going to die anyway, so why not make the best of it NOW.

If Johnny the Bagger could do it - then why can't we. Johnny is an inspiration and Dandelion to us all.

Hopefully at our next meeting, the enlightened members present will see the Gorilla in me - LOL.

As for the Palazzo management and staff, whom I have come to know so well due to various meetings held there with VIP’s, it would be an insult not to once again remind them, that they never go unnoticed and their level of expertise and service needs no improvement.

I have & would repeatedly recommend Mark the CEO to all business Entrepreneurs for his never ending patience and personal attention to detail. He has my thumbs up and my partners and I will follow him, wherever he may go.

Having Joseph serve us breakfast every morning, brightens up my day with his excellent manner, and obvious skills, acquired at the Palazzo, that being a very necessary requirement of mine, for my guests.

Private dinning and excellent cuisine prepared by Mark and his team for our dinner reservation with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, was exquisite. Thanks Mark.

Looking forward to meeting you all again with Trevor and the Palazzo team.

Writes Brian Carter:

Hi Trevor

It was a privilege to be at the MDI meeting on Monday at The Palazzo. Thank-you for a day well spent, and for the opportunities that abound because of the opportunity in itself to be a part of this process.

It is a process, of exploration, of believing then seeing, of seeing the gorilla, of seeing the opportunity, of seeing the dandelion, of seeing the good frame to the great frame, of shift happening, of celebrating what's right with the world, of being the best for the world.

I look forward to MillionDollarising!

To the team at The Palazzo: there is no better place to have these sessions. The Palazzo is a phenomenal establishment, with quality food, excellent service, and fantastic people all adding to the incredible experience.

Mark, thank-you for hosting us. Debra, thank-you for your assistance as always. Joyce, thank-you for the wonderful lunch and refreshments all day. Mohale and Eric, thank-you for attending to us in such a professional and friendly manner - you are both assets to The Palazzo.

The INNER Circle Circle gathering at the Palazzo was, as usual, a day well spent. So nice to get away from the doom and gloom we read every day and get into a positive environment amongst people who do see the bigger picture.

The content was inspiring and all the participants were generous with their contributions.

Top marks again to the venue for keeping our sugar and caffeine levels where they needed to be, and for the thorough, but unobtrusive service.

See you all on the other side of the million!

Thanks Trevor

It truly was a day very well spent away from my business. I loved the video
clip with the gorilla – it really woke me up to realizing the opportunities under my nose which sometimes I could miss.

The dandelion effect got me to realise I always need to look at things from a different perspective – no matter how disappointed I am.

A marvelous day – fabulous venue and food – and great people.

What a brilliant day it was teaching us to Million$ise our businesses!.

To be encouraged to think out of the box (or look under the dandelion) and to be told how important it is to Believe before we See rather than the other way about plus so many more aids to develop us and our businesses.

To spend a day with like minded entrepreneurs and to be treated (and fed) like Kings by the staff at the Palazzo. What a day to revitalize the grey matter and the soul.

Writes Sacha Traub:

Hi Trevor

I would like to thank you for an enjoyable and inspirational day, even though a bit daunting. I took the whole day to get the penny drop for me and I think at the end what rang out for me the most was how limited my thinking is, and how I am my own worst enemy.

I truly believe we are a victim of our circumstances and know that I am currently struggling to see the HUGE picture that is out there. I know havethe skills, energy and enthusiasm, I may be lacking in the confidence inputting the plan into action.

Would we be able to meet or could you correspond via email to give me a new suggestions on who to speak to and help me mobilise the Gorilla under my nose. I want big things however am feeling a little intimidated in which direction to follow. I obviously believe in God's plan and know we have been put in the same room for a reason, please can you assist me in identifyingthe best way forward from here.

The venue was fantastic, the food and service unbelievable. Definitely avenue I would choose to run workshops. Have already recommended the Palazzo to a friend of mine that was looking for a year end function, and he has made enquiries accordingly.

Have a great day!!

MDI Delegates Find Dewitt Jones - Celebrating LIFE

Special thanks to Stef de Bruin for introduction to the Dewitt Jones video: Celebrate What's Right With The World

- Dewitt underscored the importance of being OPEN to possibilities that exist all around us, almost all the time.
- Dewitt's 'dandelion' moment demonstrated the importance of taking quiet time to look at things from a fresh perspective ('believing is seeing').
- Said Dewitt: 'As a photographer I pray for CHANGE'.
- He talked of being open to ways to 'Accelerate the Possibility Curve'.
- That moving from good frame to GREAT frame is a miniscule step.
- Ivan Andersen showed how most of us miss the 'gorilla' (opportunity et al) right in front of our noses.

Cheryl Richter Testimonial: I Am Inspired

Hi Trevor

Yes, I Am Inspired: I admit to having only read 70 pages of your “Confessions of a Serial Entrepreneur” – but, I am v-e-r-y impressed! I am looking forward to the next 70-odd pages!

You’re clearly someone who has not only read the best books on business, marketing, etc – but knows how to implement this information! I have business ideas popping into my mind all of the time/I’m continually thinking of business ideas/I drive my friends crazy by continually turning the conversation into some or other money-making idea.

It has been an inspiration to attend the MDI sessions – I’ve learnt a tremendous amount – not only from the presentations themselves, but by the questions you’ve been asking. I know these are what I have to ask iro my business ideas. Thanks for doing what you’re doing!

Kind regards
Cheryl Richter

Carmen Schnider-Kemp Testimonial: Consider It Done!

Hi Trevor,

Firstly, I am truly grateful to you and Ivan, that you provide space to create a platform for aspiring Million Dollar entrepreneurs. You have so many MDI's, visions, strategies and projects ahead of you... I am pitching my services as project coordinator. Consider it done!

I have read some paragraphs of your serial entrepreneur e-book and am rather smitten by it. It contains very valuable information and gives that extra little bit of strategy that as entrepreneurs we often forget.

Best regards

Brian Carter Testimonial: Absolutely Phenomenal - Great Business People With Great Ideas

Hi Trevor

Please pass on my sincere thanks to the team at The PALAZZO - Mark, Roger and Debra. The meeting in the penthouse suite on Friday was absolutely phenomenal, topped perhaps only by the grand splendor of the venue. I am grateful to Mark and his team for providing this opportunity to me, to be able to feel like a VIP, enjoy some refreshments, and most of all spend time with the quality people who attended the meeting for 'Cracking The Millionaire Code'.

I did not know quite what to expect from the meeting, but definitely afterwards I know what I got out of it: I strive to be a better person in so many aspects of life, both business and personal, as I aspire to be more like the people I have spent time with from the INNER Circle, especially those at the 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' meeting, as these are all great business people with great ideas, and yet so down to earth and just normal. I felt truly honored to be a part of the meeting.

I look forward to many more.

Cheryl Richter Testimonial: This Is The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of

Hi Trevor

To be sitting with a group of business-owners in the INNER Circle forum, during which the idea of million-dollarizing businesses is presented and discussed – and in a venue such as the splendid Palazzo – this is the stuff dreams are made of!

The “Millionnaire Code” may be a book compiled by two people from the States but there is no good reason why the principles cannot work right here, right now at the bottom tip of Africa. The success that they may have achieved is likely to be small in comparison to what great South African minds and hearts can accomplish, all part of the Bigger Plan – and judging by the comments expressed by the group assembled, I know Great Things are to follow. Well done for pushing forward with an idea such as the “Millionnaire Code”! Great explanation of the idea in general for the benefit of those who hadn’t previously heard of it, and presentation of practical real-life example and facilitation of discussion!

Thanks to you for putting this all together, and to all at the Palazzo for hosting us! And, huge thanks to Ivan for giving you the book – what a team!

Kind regards
Cheryl Richter

Feedback Fri 19 Oct: MDI Session Part 3. - Cracking The Millionaire Code

Hi to ALL 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' Participants

From yesterday's workshop session input from everybody, I was left with no doubt that The PALAZZO makes one feel like 'a million dollars'... from the 'million dollar' shoeshine experienced by Hugo... to the 'million dollar' tea/coffee service offered to our attendees... delivered with consistent 'million dollar' smiles from The PALAZZO staff.

Hmmm... The PALAZZO - Makes YOU Feel Like A Million Dollars - is there the beginnings of a slogan or byline or CSR/marketing campaign in there somewhere that we can use to uplift an entire community..?

Again, we must convey our heartfelt special thanks to The PALAZZO General Manager Mark Sawkins, Deputy General Manager: Roger Petyt, Banqueting Co-ordinator Debra Geddes - Tel: (011) 510-3000 - for continuing support, privilege and provision of a SUPERB venue & service.

Let's review our prototype process so far...

i. ..we began with a 2-hour getting-to-know each other 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' session in The PALAZZO Penthouse Suite - we held two of these sessions for differing groups an a Friday at 10 a.m. to 12 Noon & 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

ii. ..the next week we moved on to a Saturday Morning 4-hour Million Dollar Idea (MDI) session in The PALAZZO's Boardroom where we got through 5 MDI's

iii. ..followed up the next week with a second 4-hour MDI session (Friday afternoon) in u-shaped workshop format in The Costello Room where we worked through another 5 MDI's

iv. ..and yesterday (Friday afternoon) completed another 4-hour session in round-table layout in The Costello Room where we workshopped ideas for The PALAZZO CSR/CSI strategy and related MDI's.

My personal favourite session was the Saturday Morning in The Boardroom - it felt closest to the serious business decision-making environment that I envisage for driving quality MDI's. Would like your thoughts on your favourite session.

From the above, it seems to me that with some quality fine-tuning of the MDI delivery-structure we could move through the process in a two-day seminar/workshop format (gives us a 2 X 6-hour working days format).

Yesterday began with a rapid-fire scratching-the-surface overview of just a few of the pertinent extracts from 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' and 'Confessions of a SERIAL Entrepreneur'. Clearly those who read the two publications will gain much deeper insight and meaning behind some of the core concepts we touched upon, namely:

1. The enLIGHTENed Principle (from Cracking The Millionaire Code):

L - Loverage - sharing your love of abundance with others - promulgating the concept of giving to give business endeavours
I - Inner Wealth - converting your intangible inner gifts, passion, skills, talents to tangible outer wealth
G - Giving - base your business on giving, fair play, honest, sharing principles - give to others, your family, yourself.
H - Higher Power - consider the DIVINE possibility that you are not 'alone' in your life journey - a universe of abundance
T - Trustee - consider that money may be attracted to those stewards that can be trusted to make a difference in society

I must acknowledge Ivan Andersen's presentation of Johnny The Bagger. Anyone who thought that the LOVERAGE behind an enlightened MDI doesn't come at an enormous emotional price had that thought completely erased by Ivan's emotion-charged input. Enlightened MDI's require your 100% heart and soul commitment... nothing less! Voluntarily chairing a multi-million rand school development for the mentally-challenged is LOVERAGE of the highest order. We salute you, Ivan.

That's the quality of JV partner I like to be involved with.

Do you know anyone else like Ivan that we can grow quality MDI's with.. ?.. ;-)

2. The 4 Key Cracking The Millionaire Codes (from Cracking The Millionaire Code):

The Destiny Code - Dicovering where your gut, passion, enjoyment, pleasure tells you your life's work should be played out
The Prism Code - Creating your vehicle to achieving multiple streams of wealth
The Angel Code - The team of people that will help you achieve your dreams
The Star Code - Your STAR customers who purchase your product/service and spread the word

3. Millionaire Code PRISM Patterns (from Cracking The Millionaire Code):

P - Primary Products
R - Related Products
I - Information Products - Data information, Direction signage, Consulting, How to systems
S - Services - Manufacturing, Design, Distribution, Marketing, Sales, Protection, Enhancement, Humor, Advertising, etc. M - Media - Entertainment, Experience, Hobby, Toys and games, Associations, Business opportunity, Personal endorsement

4. Questions To Ask To Find My Destiny Code (from Cracking The Millionaire Code):

Passion - What do I love to do?
Talent - What am I good at?
Values - What is important to me?
Destiny - What was I born to do?

5. 21 Wheel of Wealth WOW Factors (from Cracking The Millionaire Code):
see - http://www.crackingthemillionairecode.com/promises/BusinessWoWingForm.pdf

Moving on to the workshop session, we broke into 3 round-table groups after viewing the SIMPLE essence of concepts such as the Johnny The Bagger story and its compilation into an Information Product and Seminar commanding $1000 per head, and the Tingler, which generated $10 Million in sales for two committed women entrepreneurs.

Ivan and I also shared how we had gained from the collective input and interest to see the morphing of Murdoch Inc. into the new mdiVENTURES, leading to the development of the mdiACCELERATOR business collaboration tool.

Again, in preparation for the workshop, we reviewed at warp-speed the concepts of:

6. 'Rewinding The Movie' (from Confessions of a SERIAL Entrepreneur):
- End - describe the end result of the project in visual terms, what revenue was generated, what residual revenue is sustained
- Middle
- Beginning

7. Projecting the 3 Key Indicators for the Project (from Confessions of a SERIAL Entrepreneur):
- Revenue
- Costs
- Profits

8. MBC - WIIFM (from Confessions of a SERIAL Entrepreneur):
- Me - What's In It For Me
- Business
- Consumer

Here's a question related to this little exercise: What was the WIIFM reason for me to give away a R390 to R440 (retail selling price) Moneyskills game as reward for the great input from everybody?

Simple. Not only was it an exercise in giving without expecting anything in return... it also serves as a reminder that I have over 2000 of these excellent games in stock for sale as Christmas Stocking fillers at R50 cash per unit. You can keep R20 (40% comm.) per unit... and I'd like to move them as quickly as possible. If it stimulates some ideas for moving them, every 100 units is R2000 to you, 2000 units is R40 000 to you, let me know... :-)

9. The Vending Machine Process (from Confessions of a SERIAL Entrepreneur)

10. The 1-Page Script (from Confessions of a SERIAL Entrepreneur):
- Vision
- Aim
- Objectives
- USP
- Targets

11. Working to SMART Objectives (from Confessions of a SERIAL Entrepreneur):
- Specific
- Measurable
- Achievable
- Realistic
- Time

Then it was onto the 3 round-table group brainstorms on what The PALAZZO CSR/CSI initiative could look like in the coming year.

I heard some great ideas coming from each table which Ivan noted onto a mind map (to follow). Table 1 had me thinking of 'million-dollar' reality-show concepts (stimulated the million-dollar shoe shine thought). Table 2. touched on the concept of hosting media personalities and media production houses (bringing in promotional resources) and stimulated the 'Million-Dollar GOLF Tournament' alternative idea - maybe it is a VIRTUAL Golf tournament. Table 3. came up with a self-sustaining hydroponic vegetable-growing village concept for local communities - had me thinking of EPCOT Centre at DisneyWorld and earthworm farms on Carte Blanche last week.

Most importanly, I heard a commonality of threads which make The PALAZZO central to many of the MDI's presented at our prior meetings. The PALAZZO CSR/CSI initiative has the potential to be linked to the Community 100 Empowered project (Economic Hub development LSM 1 to 4's) and the Consumer Value Bundle prototype concept (Local Retailers & LSM 10 Consumers)... all of which can be further linked to The Ultimate Information Business concept, the SA Business Index, The Money Profiler, etc.

Bearing in mind the MBC - WIIFM thinking, we need to be aware that The PALAZZO CSR/CSI project will be of great personal, emotional, achievement-oriented, group-learning, philanthropic value - community upliftment - to those who get their teeth into it. The other MDI's have financial reward benefits thrown in. And given that most honestly aspire to building multiple income-streams, it is important to make an honest assessment of which projects can generate revenue and what you'd like to see flowing in for your contribution to such project.

As with the mdiACCELERATOR that Ivan and I have developed to demonstrate zero-downside risk (if we cannot demonstrate upside we make nothing) to any business owner's project that we engage in, with a fixed formula to participate in the upside, so you need to begin assessing what YOU will be worth to any of the above projects that take your fancy and what return you'd like to receive for your input. For some it will be financial, for others it will be learning and personal growth, for some an experiment in philanthropy, and for some a combination of all three. Every person is unique and you will need to tell me what will get your juices flowing to be in this game.

I'll need you to think in terms of the contribution that you believe you can make to revenue and/or bottom-line profit and the specific financial return (in Rand value) that you like to receive for what you do.

Given that we hope to be opening up projects to working in teams of 5 people per project (excluding Ivan and myself), you need to give thought to the following as well:

12. Forming project Teams (from Confessions of a SERIAL Entrepreneur):

- WHY we should be working together - identifying team capabilities, resources, skills
- WHAT we'll be doing together - defining team objectives, success criteria & required outcomes
- WHO will be doing what - establishing deliverables, accountabilities, rewards & consequences
- HOW we will work together - defining team groundrules

Just as Ivan and I have to 'motivate' the G.M. of the PALAZZO to allow us to be a significant driver of their CSR/CSI objectives for next year, so I need you to 'motivate' Ivan and I on the reason/s why YOU should be one of the five to be selected to participate in the project/s that appeal to you. Again, after yesterday, give me an update indication of the project/s that really excite you.

From your input we will dividing into WORKING teams and focusing on bringing individual projects to life.

It's time to get the rubber hitting the road.

Your further feedback and input will be appreciated.

My thanks for the fantastic feedback extract from one of you below (kept confidential until I get permission to supply name):

Feedback: MDI Session Part 2. - Cracking The Millionaire Code

Hi to ALL 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' Participants

I will try to confirm our next MDI meeting for next Friday 19th : 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. ASAP. Keep as provisional in your diaries.

From the closing comments conveying the feelings of all in the room - 'Energy, Passion, Chaos, Disruptive Innovation... BLIKSEM (or something like that from Pieter... ;-) - I'm left believing that we're exploring the process of producing 'Bottled Lightning'. Now there's a Million Dollar Idea (MDI) just waiting to happen.

This email contains important homework for you... to get back to me ASAP.

Highlight of the afternoon was the pop-in visit by Mark Sawkins - G.M. The PALAZZO - who conveyed exactly how the 'Give to Give' philosophy creates an upward spiral of abundance that literally spawns unlimited opportunity for everyone touched by it. We were left in no doubt as to the enormous emotional value of GRATITUDE & TESTIMONIALS at both Staff and Corporate Executive level at Southern Sun.

See Attached: Ivan's MDI mind Map

Following this email, I will send a 2.5 meg attachment of a complimentary draft word.doc copy of 'Confessions of a SERIAL Entrepreneur' and some intro pdf's to show layout plus two further ebooks - DifferenceMaker & GetWealthy - to give you an idea of the diverse range of content and thinking that we can deliver. (Celeste, the 17 Strategic Marketing Questions are in there somewhere - find them... ;-)

Please remember that these MDI sessions were inspired by Ivan Andersen introducing me to 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' and I recommend that you get hold of a copy of the book, register onto the website - www.crackingthemillionairecode.com and complete the H.O.T.S. (Hare, Owl, Turtle, Squirrel) Survey on http://www.crackingthemillionairecode.com/hots.asp and let me know what your profile is. Very important for us to consider when putting teams together.

For your information, 36 people currently receive this email currently (responding from the original 63 invited from our last INNER Circle at The PALAZZO meeting and some extras from random links that I included in later meeting notifications to appeal to the curious). Of those 36, below is the list of MDI Part.1 & 2 attendees who I believe have truly caught onto the energy and passion that exudes from these sessions, and who are ready to move on to the next phase of dividing up into MDI project teams to begin the process of 'MILLIONDOLLARISING' their projects.

Your task from the list of attendees and MDI projects discussed below is to provide me with two lists of your top three people that you would like to work with (exclude Ivan and I as we will be overseeing all projects initially) and your top three projects that you would like to work on. MDI concept owners should select the top 3 projects other than their own (we will assume that your own project will be your ultimate passion anyway). Your lists will be kept CONFIDENTIAL, so you won't be putting anyone's nose out of joint. Number your lists 1, 2, 3, in order of first preference to third preference.

Names of Part 1 & 2 Attendees: You are welcome to contact each other from this list:

Teresa Barber - HARE
Chris Porter - Drug Awareness Software & Movie Production Investment - HARE
Susan Williams - Business Storytelling - HARE
John Reilly - Interior Design Consultants - HARE
Johan Cronje - Executive Team Coach & Software
Hugo Snyman - Financial Fund Management Procurement - HARE
Kevin Foot - Business Broker - TURTLE
Carmen Schnider-Kemp - Parenting Skills Website - HARE
Brian Carter - Financial Services - TURTLE
Celeste Beukes - Health, Fitness & Wellness - HARE
Benita Vermeulen - Profit Recovery - HARE

Ira Halpern - Events/Promotions
Mike Lacey-Smith - Clinical Psychologist
Raymond Bilson - Import Specialist
Ivan Andersen - - Business Support Software Development - HARE/TURTLE
Trevor Nel - Business Development Strategist / Developer: INNER Circle - HARE

You will note that we are dangerously short of Turtles, Owls and Squirrels - Hares breed like rabbits in this environment... ;-)

Carmen asked to get a photo and profile of everyone on the above list - here's an easy way to do it - go and register your profile and upload your photo to www.plaxo.com and you will appear automatically on my Outlook list of contacts and vice versa. Then go and register on www.skype.com and you can reach my PC to chat for zero cost... and see when I am online. My skype ID is: trevornel .

MDI Projects Discussed:

Reilly Inc. - NLP-oriented Design Consultants National/International
Divine Parents - Online Website for Parents
Ozonize
Drug Awareness Film and DVD
SA Business Index
The PALAZZO CSI Initiative
Community100Empowered - Economic Hubs
Third Circle - Money Personality Profiling
The Community Value Bundle Project (inc.GlamSlam Experiential Event Marketing)
The Ultimate Information Business

Murdoch & mdiVentures is deliberately not included on this list for selection purposes as both are expected to naturally spin-off from the projects above.

I suspect that we will probably begin working on 3 to 5 of the above projects initially. That is not to demean those MDI's not initially selected for focus. It will just mean that THIS group is going with their collective GUT on where they believe their passion lies to drive for quickest emotional and/or financial return on their interest and effort. Another group may well select differently. However every MDI concept-owner will be able to apply the generic processes to be brainstormed at our next session (see below) to tweak their own project for mass-interest. Regardless of which projects are selected, Ivan and I will be providing overseeing guidance for ALL MDI projects (whether selected by this group or not) to move them from idea to reality in the concept owners hands. So don't panic and don't feel left out.

Our next meeting will see our provisional allocation of project teams (to see how they gel) and we will be focusing on 3 methodologies - my Vending Machine analogy (see Confessions Ch. 4), 'Cracking The Millionaire Code's PRISM Profit Patterns and WOW (Wheel of Wealth) 21 point MDI project brainstormers.

Anytime that you want to record your ongoing feelings in writing for this exploratory process, please do so, it helps us tremendously to know how people are genuinely affected by this experience - good or bad - something new that you have learnt - an 'aha' moment - from the heart. We will continuously ask as your feelings and learning experience should be changing continuously from each new meeting experience that you have... please share them.

And hey... let's all ensure that we're having some FUN in the process... :-)

Regards
Trevor

Feedback MDI Part1. & Cracking The Millionaire Code - Friday 12 Oct. 1 to 5 p.m. at The PALAZZO - MDI Part 2.

Hi all Cracking The Millionaire Code attendees

Our next meeting: Million Dollar Ideas (MDI's) - Part 2 - Friday 12 Oct. - 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. - Soave Room - The PALAZZO

We already have 18 people confirmed... again complimentary with kind support of Mark Sawkins G.M. The PALAZZO.

You will note from the program today that I learn quickly from each exploratory session.

On Saturday - MDI Part 1. in The PALAZZO Boardroom - we heard the MDI's presented by John Reilly - Reilly Inc., Carmen Schneider-Kemp - Divine-Parents, Ian Wight - Ozonize, Chris Porter - Drug Awareness & Martin Wittstock - S.A. Business Index... and we got a little better acquainted with the quality of people and their questions and answers in the room.

From Saturday's MDI Part. 1 session I learned that we will need to apply the 10-Minute presentation rule STRICTLY in order to get through the MDI's that need to be presented (A maximum of 5 PPT slides is recommended). And, I mean I will be STRICT...!

Each 10-minute segment will be followed by a STRICT 5-minute Q & A.

To save time at this MDI Part 2. session, I would like each attendee to prepare a WRITTEN Word-of-Mouth recommendation statement (maximum 30 words) about what the exploratory process has done for YOU so far... about the personal value you have gained... the sort of comment that you would be making to your friends at a braai about what blows you away about what you are involved in at the moment.. - we will be kicking off with these statements... :-)

I will lead off the Part. 2 process with a presentation on behalf of The PALAZZO in a program that looks like this:

The Program.

1.p.m - Begin - Summary Review of 2 previous sessions - What Got Us Here - Review of Word of Mouth Statements:

1:15 - The PALAZZO CSI Objectives - Trevor
1:30 - Community100Empowered - Ivan
1:45 - Third Circle - Hugo Snyman
2:00 - Break

2:05 - Comments
2:15 - The Community Value Bundle Project - Trevor
2:30 - Xanadu CD Demo - Ira
2:45 - Celeste's MDI - Celeste
3:00 - The Ultimate Information Business - Trevor
3:15 - Break

3:30 - Mind Map Review of MDI Projects presented - Ivan
3:40 - General Comments & Discussion
4:00 - Proposed MDI Prototype Operating Structure - Trevor
4:15 - General Comments & Discussion
4:45 - Next Step Proposals
5:00 - End

And YES, I know... there are some of you who want another shot at presenting your business MDI again... all in good time (even in the program above I am holding back some great MDI's of my own because of lack of time)... we need to work everyone through this exploratory concept into a structured process of implementation ASAP... and we haven't yet begun to touch on the MDI processes described in Cracking The Millionaire Code. The learning curve for everyone with an MDI is to prepare an ELEVATOR Pitch - a sizzling summary - of your concept that grabs our attention in the SHORTEST time. If you can't do that in 60 seconds you have a challenge, if you can't do it in 5 minutes you're in trouble, if you can't do it in 10 minutes you don't understand your problem... ;-)

What was that about BRUTAL Honesty..?

Do you not have an MDI, but have time, resources, skills, and commitment to become an essential member and revenue-generator in a difference-making MDI?

We have ONLY 5 complimentary seats available for YOU to join our pioneering exploratory groups on saturday at the venue below. To grab one of these seats you will NEED to complete this simple survey first and send it to me ASAP & I will confirm:

Survey: Please complete the H.O.T.S. (Hare, Owl, Turtle, Squirrel) Survey and let me know what your profile is. http://www.crackingthemillionairecode.com/hots.asp

Once completed, send your profile data to me on this link:
Yes Please, I WANT One Of The 5 Seats For Sat. 06 Oct. at The PALAZZO - Here's my H.O.T.S. profile

This is the invite to those who attended the first sessions:

When..? This Saturday 06th October from 9 a.m. to 1.p.m. (4 hours) - Cost: Your Time... :-)

Where..? At our PALAZZO 'Millionairium' of course..!

Objective: Assessing Million Dollar Ideas (MDI's)

Here we're going to allow those with Million Dollar Ideas (MDI's) to take maximum of 10 minutes (and I mean 10 minutes EXACTLY) to present a concise synopsis of their MDI to win over the votes/interest of their peers. We will restrict the number of MDI presentations to 10 in all so that we have some time to brainstorm around each to get our creative juices flowing.

I have today been briefed by The PALAZZO General Manager - Mark Sawkin's - on his Corporate Social Resposibility objectives for which I have already reserved 1 presentation slot to present on his behalf.

So that leaves 9 slots left for YOU to grab 1 on this link:
Yes Please, I WANT A 10 Minute Slot To Present My Million Dollar Idea

So, whether you have an MDI to present or just want to be there to assess the projects on Saturday - please let me know on this link: Yes Please, I WANT To Be There at The PALAZZO This Sat. 06Oct. 9 a'm. to 1 To Make Something Happen

Writes Teresa Barber (full testimonial): 'Hi Trevor, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you... for bringing together the group for Cracking the Millionaire Code. I see big things that could really happen with the group I saw and look forward to getting started. My philosophy has always been to give, not expecting to get back and hoping that those that receive will eventually want to or be able to give to others in need. The idea of being able to create more income is a bonus.

1. I re-read the entire book - 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' and have studied different chapters in relation to our meeting and my current business. I really enjoyed the 21 Wow steps and Hundredfolding.

2. I registered on the website.

3. Took the test. Came back as a Hare.

'Now what is next? Two or three weeks for me? Not likely. I want to get started now. I am working on my own ideas, nothing over the top yet, but I would really like to get to know yours and Ivan’s. That or to work with Mark’s idea and finding out more about it may be better than starting from scratch'.

Want To Make Something Happen?

To All 'Millionaire Code' Participants:

Don't know about you, but it seems that the more we focus on making a difference in the world, the more the world wants to talk to us about 'milliondollarizing' their amazing business ideas. My phone has rung off the hook with people been pointed in our direction. And, I don't pass out my phone contact numbers as most of you know.

Is this something to do with Divine Providence knowing where we want to take these projects and pointing people in our direction..? I'd like to think so... but we'll have to prove that we're up to the task and worthy of such Divine Trust. It's hectic..!

And so... NOW what..?

We had our warm, fuzzy exploratory sessions last week... we all got VERY EXCITED... we've all done the following:

1. You've got your copy of 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' - by Mark Victor Hansen & Robert Allen - available at Estoril Books, Fourways Mall

2. You've registered onto the website - www.crackingthemillionairecode.com

3. You've completed the H.O.T.S. (Hare, Owl, Turtle, Squirrel) Survey and let me know what your profile is. Very important for us to consider when putting teams together. Survey available on this link: http://www.crackingthemillionairecode.com/hots.asp

And most importantly, you've sent in your honest heartfelt testimonial on this link:
Please send your INNER Circle 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' at The PALAZZO positive testimonial on this link

What..? You haven't..??? Well, do it now..!

Why..? Because we're not going to wait for you... we're moving on with beginning to make something POSITIVE happen.

When..? This Saturday 06th October from 9 a.m. to 1.p.m. (4 hours) - Cost: Your Time... :-)

Where..? At our PALAZZO 'Millionairium' of course..!

Objective: Assessing Million Dollar Ideas (MDI's)

Feedback: 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' at The PALAZZO - Fri.28th & Sat.29th Sep.

To all in attendance (see full list of attendees below):

Phew... am trying to come back down to earth after two very intense, inspiring days of exploration & brainstorming with very exciting people, with great ideas to be milliondollarized into mega-business projects.

First, a really special thanks to The PALAZZO General Manager Mark Sawkins, Deputy General Manager: Roger Petyt, Banqueting Co-ordinator Debra Geddes - Tel: (011) 510-3000 - for provision of a SUPERB venue & service.

Mark Sawkins' vision, support and contribution allowed us to experiment, at no cost to all participants, in the finest of creative-thinking environments befitting of the size of the business projects we aim to unleash. Mark really understands the GIVING model that we seek to engender to build businesses that make a difference in society.

Mark, unfortunately, couldn't break away from important meetings of his own to brief us on his CSI aims for 2008... and promises to share that at our next follow-up meeting.

You all know that I believe that testimonials are the finest way to express one's thanks and honest feedback for extraordinary service and contribution received. Testimonials are also great for the soul... nothing feels better than expressing heartfelt GRATITUDE.

So I am going to ask each of you on this list to express what your heart & head feels about the experience that you gained from these exploratory meetings at this venue. They will be copied to The PALAZZO team above. Do it now on the link below:

Please send your INNER Circle 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' at The PALAZZO positive testimonial on this link

Second, our three project teams/sessions - Dr. Jay van Zyl's group and my two groups - proved to have very different dynamics given the different aspirations and experience of the unique individuals in each group. Given that Jay's group is far more advanced at business modeling and project management processes - the links below are aimed at my groups, many of whom were experiencing this exploratory process for the first time.

Our afternoon session attendees got an insight from Jay as to what he provides as our INNER Circle Joint Venture partner, innovation leader and software platform provider.

The underlying postulate of the process we are exploring is to begin structuring new business projects with RESIDUAL Philanthropy built in as the starting point. That is, building businesses with GIVING as a priority - to make a difference in society.

1. If your curiosity was fired up, get your copy of 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' - by Mark Victor Hansen & Robert Allen - available at Estoril Books, Fourways Mall

2. Register onto the website - www.crackingthemillionairecode.com

Dependent on YOUR feedback and interest, I intend running a follow-up session within the next 2 to 3 weeks. I WILL evaluate your interest through your testimonial feedback. Your ENTHUSIASM will speed up the process... ;-)

Mark Sawkins - M.D. of The PALAZZO - has come to the party with the amazing offer to host this unique INNER Circle project in the R30 000 to R36 000 per night Presidential and Penthouse Suites in this 5-Star venue. Mark S. has already shared an exciting Corporate Social Responsibility aim with me that he would like our INNER Circle team to take on.

Having just read a 'gifted' copy of 'Cracking The Millionaire Code' myself, I have been struck by the synchronicity of what we have been doing at INNER Circle and how the two authors have generated over a billion dollars in revenue themselves. Their book emphasises the critical importance of building your business to build YOUR wealth and to make plenty of money to give back to society - we'll be doing that in this project..! Wanna participate?
